# Overview
Pending actions is a generic mechanism for notifying individuals of required actions that need to be taken. Integration with the Pending actions aims:
- to streamline processes by requesting the action directly from the end-user;
- to ensure regulatory compliance;
- to bolster data security;
- to eliminate the need of manual support workflows.
Currently, pending actions are used within following 3d API services:
All the pending actions are triggered by Intergiro and should be delivered to the corresponding end-user through any notification mechanism selected on your side, it can be push-notification, sms, email etc. Corresponding events about the pending action creation and completion are generated and sent to registered webhook (check Events (opens new window) sections for more information). Every pending action require the end-user to be sent to the UI flow.
